About the Collection
I started this collection on accident. The first painting you see was the product of me having way too much paint on a separate painting and creating a texture that I found unique to my own work. I knew I wanted to create a series from it so that I could bring in some cohesion that went with the rest of my work. I also had bought some water-based ink recently and wanted to find a way to test out mixing it with my paints, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity.
During this time, I was experiencing a lot in my personal life as well and this collection truly served as an emotional outlet for me to get some of the chaos in my mind sorted out. Based on how the first painting turned out, I knew I would go with a natural/floral theme for this collection which inspired my color choices and some of the shapes I chose to create. I hope you enjoy.
